About

Welcome to Mary-Kathryn’s site! Here you can find projects, papers, and general items I am proud of along with an exploration of my learning process in Digital Humanities.

My name is Mary-Kathryn Wert and I am a current junior at Carleton College. My major is Political Science with a minor in Statistics and Data Science. I am originally from Kansas City, Missouri but I am now based in Northfield, Minnesota. My future goals are continuing on to graduate school study and finding a career related to politics such as International Relations research or policy work. At Carleton, I am president of Karl-Pop which is a K-pop Dance Club on campus that performs at large-scale events by other organizations including Lunar New Year and International Fest.

I have participated in research in the Political Science Department with Professor Summer Forester working on the Feminist Mobilization Index. My work on the project included conducting case studies on the countries Zimbabwe, Madagascar, and Chad and updating the comprehensive database of feminist mobilization in these countries to 2025.
